The New York State Athletic Administrators Association (NYSAAA) Policies, Operations & Procedures (POP) Manual provides the official framework that guides the governance, leadership, and daily operations of the Association.

The manual outlines the NYSAAA’s mission, constitutional structure, and bylaws, and clearly defines the roles and responsibilities of the Executive Board, Representative Board, officers, committees, and administrative staff. It establishes consistent procedures for elections, meetings, decision-making, financial oversight, and organizational accountability.

In addition, the POP Manual details membership classifications and benefits, professional development programs, awards and recognition processes, conference operations, and the Association’s partnerships with the NIAAA, NYSPHSAA, NFHS, NYSAIS, CHSAA, NYSCOSS,and other educational organizations. It also serves as a reference for best practices in leadership development, certification, and advocacy for interscholastic athletics.

Together, these policies ensure transparency, continuity, and ethical leadership while supporting the NYSAAA’s mission to promote the professional growth of athletic administrators and the advancement of educationally based athletics throughout New York State.
